Our latest project—the former Telegraph & Argus building was built 42 years ago and was once an innovative piece of architecture in Bradford city centre that reflected what the modern world should look like.
After Telegraph & Argus owner Newsquest moved to other premises in 2020, the disused property has now been sold to a London property investor. We are delighted to take this project forward and deliver a new use for the building.
At this early stage of the project, a new entrance is set to unveil a new era for this building. Our proposed new entrance has been refurnished this summer; it serves a vital purpose which is to provide pedestrian access directly from Hall Ings, making its iconic dark glass structure become the entire frontage of the building.
The 1200m2 dark glass curtain wall was originally designed for the open production concept – showing how newspapers were made in the early 1980s.
The property is now being marketed to potential tenants, whether it will be an office space, school, or other commercial use, people can embrace a bright indoor space with high ceilings, mezzanine floors, and wide city views again.
The facility will be a new highlight in the city centre and offers easy access to the Bradford Interchange station and nearby attractions, including The Broadway Shopping Centre, St George’s Hall, Great Victoria Hotel, and Little Germany.
